Senior Product Manager – Building India’s Personal Health Utility Platform

The Opportunity

India successfully built UPI by designing a financial system centered on individuals rather than institutions. We are now building a similar foundation for health.

The Personal Health Utility is a next-generation, person-centered health platform designed to support individuals continuously in everyday life — not only during clinical visits. It integrates diverse health data sources (public datasets, lab reports, wearable and sensor data, electronic health records, and lifestyle signals) to generate contextual, actionable health insights grounded in trusted knowledge.

This is not a feature product role. This is a foundational build shaping how health is supported in India for decades.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and lead the product vision, roadmap, and execution of India’s Personal Health Utility.

You will work at the intersection of AI research, engineering, health sciences, digital public infrastructure, and real-world deployment. You will translate a bold national vision into a scalable, secure, and person-centered product.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define and articulate the long-term vision of the Personal Health Utility.

• Develop and execute a phased product roadmap aligned with national health priorities.

• Ensure the product remains person-centered while integrating effectively with clinicians and institutions.

System Design & Data Integration

• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to design secure frameworks for ingesting and harmonizing heterogeneous health data.

• Translate diverse inputs into coherent personal health models that support continuous insight and guidance.

• Balance innovation with reliability, privacy, and scalability.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with AI researchers, engineers, designers, health experts, and policy stakeholders.

• Align product priorities across technical feasibility, scientific validity, and real-world usability.

• Drive clarity in an evolving, research-led environment.

User & Impact Orientation

• Design intuitive user journeys that make complex health insights understandable and actionable.

• Ensure the product supports individuals between clinical encounters while enabling meaningful engagement with providers.

• Maintain a focus on long-term trust and real-world impact.

Execution & Delivery

• Translate strategy into clear specifications, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

• Lead iterative releases while maintaining architectural coherence.

• Operate effectively amid ambiguity and evolving infrastructure.

Governance & Compliance

• Embed privacy, consent, ethics, and regulatory alignment into the product from day one.

• Work within national and global health data frameworks to ensure responsible deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in data-intensive platforms, AI/ML systems, or health technology.

• Experience building complex platforms that integrate multiple data streams.

• Strong understanding of health data ecosystems (EHRs, labs, wearables, sensor data) and regulatory environments.

• Ability to work across research, engineering, and policy domains.

• Demonstrated capability to lead ambiguous 0→1 or early-stage builds.

• Exceptional communication skills and strategic thinking.

• Experience in digital public infrastructure or large-scale platform ecosystems.

• Exposure to AI-driven personalization or decision-support systems.

• Background in healthcare, life sciences, health informatics, or public health.

• Familiarity with privacy frameworks such as DPDP, GDPR, or HIPAA.
